We ended up taking a tour on the Water Bug on a whim and I was not disappointing! Our party had Capt. Peggy who was very friendly and a wonderful guide. On our trip we saw some of the wild horses as well as some great birds and other wildlife. One plus is that because it is a smaller boat... More

We recently had a waterfront tour of Beaufort, NC with Captain Bob on the Waterbug. Having taken many tours on the water in varied places, this by far is the very best. Not only did we see wild horses as well as dolphins, the tour was filled with local history and anecdotes of Beaufort! We could not have asked for... More

Yesterday I enjoyed a tour with Captain Bob. We were able to spot horses and learn about Rachel Carson Reserve. Captain Bob is very knowledgeable of the water and the town of Beaufort. The Waterbug itself is wonderful because it provides shade for hot days and the boat is not crowded even with a large group. The Waterbug tour with... More

Captain Bob was great fun and so well versed on the horses, birds and surrounding areas. This was our 3rd time visiting Beaufort, but our first time seeing the horses...we were thrilled. Over 20 horses were grazing along the shoreline and we were able to get up quite close to them...it really was a thrill. We didn't see any dolphins,... More

Our tour was taken on May 19. It was a great day to be on the water - some clouds and some sunshine. It was low tide and the water was calm. Capt Peggy took us down the channel to see the wild horses on one of the islands. The captain was looking for the sandy colored horse that is... More

The Captain is very knowledgable of the area and local history. Very funny and entertaining. Although we did not see the horses, which is out of his control. It was still $15.00 well spent.

Took the tour with Cpt. Bob on May 7th. He was a very able seaman and knowledgable about the area. The tour only takes about 45 minutes and is a great way to see the Beaufort waterfront from a different perspective. We did see a few wild horses grazing in the nature preserve. A great way to get off your... More

We enjoyed our tour with Captain Bob. He was very knowledgable about Beaufort and told us lots of historical facts about the area. He recommended a great place for lunch (which we went to, it WAS great) and other attractions to visit in the area (we took the suggestions and enjoyed them all). We did see wild horses on our...
