Historically and Visually a MUST DO. Wonderful old building, structure, history, views. Wander on your own at your leisure. Learn history, culture, daily life of soldiers, officers, non-military. Personal accounts and information by docents. Beautiful views of Lake Ontario and mouth of Niagara river. If you can be there for reinactments that would be fabulous (french and indian wars, revolution,... More

Definitely worth the $12 adult entry fee....We viewed the Fort area and then came back after our Jet Boat Tour and watched the short film. Once home friends commented that my FB post was welcomed as a good history lesson as they had no idea there was a Fort in that area and it got them thinking.... Very friendly staff...... More

If you like history, you will like visiting Old Fort Niagara. It sits on the banks of the Niagara River with views of Canada. There are several original structures to tour as well as demonstrations. Staff are dressed in period attire. There is also a large park with picnic tables.

One of the Oldest and Historical Fort in US. The Fort will offer you War History, reenactment and Canadian view (you can spot Toronto from a distance). Make sure you buy this Tour with a package including Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds for a cheaper cost! Keep a lot space on your Camera memory Card! Have... More

We've looked at the Fort for years from Niagara on the Lake and on this trip we went over to see it up close. It is a really great historical site. It is clean and well maintained. The little museum is interesting as is the Fort itself. We particularly enjoyed talking with the staff who were stationed at the various... More

This place is not to be missed it was delightful. A great tour of a great fort. It is amazing with the period dressed staff everywhere and they were so informative and kind. They have a carpenter and a blacksmith on the property with the blacksmith using a bellows. It was delightful to learn and to touch such great history.... More

We spent almost 4 hours at Old Fort Niagara. It was beautiful, educational and very enjoyable. Located in the shore of Lake Ontario you can't beat the views from the fort. On a clear day you can see the buildings of Toronto, Canada in the other side of the Great Lake. The staff is all very knowledgable and represent their... More

If History is your passion, this one should not be missed when visiting the Niagara Falls area! Fort Niagara was a much fought over strategic location exactly at the mouth of the Niagara River as it empties into Lake Ontario during the French & Indian Wars circa 1812?? Why? it was the absolute entry into the Great Lakes waterway system... More

Old Fort Niagara is located few miles away from Niagara fall site. Entry to fort is $12. Fort area is quite huge which contain tourist center, Fort entrances, green lawn, rotating cannon and fortification. Fort is built on land with lake surrounded by water. You can view Toronto city of Canada from this fort. Overall nice fort and can spend... More
