Look it's a beach, other than toilets there is nothing there so bring drinks and food. The beach is not flash, small by WA standards . Might be good for snorkelling.

This great natural safe swimming and snorkeling spot now has great facilities. Lots of shade if you want it and great ablutions plus many hand rails. Really safe for children and shark proof.

The Basin is a short stroll from the main settlement and is great for snorkling and swimming on most days. Water is crystel clear with a few fish to keep you intersted.

A perfect blue sky, white sand and a refreshingly cool dip at The Basin. Sublime. There's something special about the water at The Basin and it is always a friendly small crowd. Enjoy!

On a good sunny day, this is heaven. Clear blue waters. White sands. Some rocky bits but not really an issue. There was a spot with a strong current heading out so I would be cautious there. Toilets and change rooms nearby.

After our bike ride around Rottnest Island - which is a must for any visitor - we rode back to 'The Basin' which was the most beautiful and sheltered spot out of all the stunning bays we rode past. The colours of the water were magnificent, as good as anything you see overseas. I was able to dive down and... More
