If you are out this way, it is worth a look. You can walk one way up to the damn and then back down to the amphitheatre and carpark. You'd need to have average fitness.

The Harvey Dam is a definitely worth a look. It's very picturesque, with lovely well maintained gardens and grassed areas to enjoy. Also nice to walk over the bridge and through the meandering paths through the bush. There is a couple of bbq's and wooden bench tables for seating. There's also a small playground for young kids to enjoy.

Definitely worth adding to your itinerary for a day out in Harvey. The amphitheatre is at the bottom of the Harvey Dam. There are toilets, seats, BBQ's alongside the waterway. Well maintained gardens. Don't miss the walk along the Dam.

The Harvey dam is the best backdrop for that Sunday morning BBQ. Lots of open area for the kids to explore, run and play. There is a swing area and a stage that the kids will love. Various walkways and tracks to walk and ride. The walk across the top of the dam is breathtaking. We loved it all.

Looking for a place to take the kids? it took us just over the hour to reach Harvey Dam has a great picnic area with full amenities. BBQ's are free to use and are kept spotless and the toilets are very well kept.
The area has a play area for the kids plus an Amphitheatre where the kids can go on stage and just have fun.
A great walking site and views worth seeing.

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful dam to walk the dam wall which is well worth it. The lovely picnic areas next to the Ampitheatre, how lucky are the people of Harvey to have this, great job done. I would love to see a show here on a nice evening and will be looking out for them from now on.

We had a day to fill in whilst in the Harvey area. After a surprisingly wonderful visit to Stirling cottage and the Secret Gardens, we decided to quickly visit the Harvey Dam which is a short drive out of town.We experienced another pleasurable experience. Clean, shady, well designed, clean toilet facilities and a pleasant walk along the dam wall. It is not a big dam but the setting made it worthwhile. The lovely little ampitheatre was well designed in a peaceful setting. We were only disappointed by the fact we had not taken a picnic lunch with us as there is no café or shop or vending machine there to purchase refreshments. The Harvey shire/council is to be commended for the work and maintenance done here and throughout Harvey. I had just thought of Harvey as a drive through country town but found it to be well worth stopping off place where we should have allowed ourselves time to stay overnight

A beautiful stopover on a trip down south. All amenities on site and lovely grassed areas as well. The have concerts here during the better weather and I believe they are good.
