We stopped in here to get advice on the turtle beaches and snorkelling beaches. They were really helpful with advice. Also note when you drive south of here to Oyster Stacks, Milyering is the last mobile phone signal you will get.

The team at the discovery centre here and in Exmouth are friggin awesome. The maps and information booklet about the area are informative with a strong conservation and protection theme. We really like that. The centres also had relevant items for sale like fly nets (a necessity in the park). Highly recommend visiting either centre. They also did some of our tour bookings. Great service.

The people here were so much friendlier and more helpful than the info centre in exmouth. They gave us good tips about snorkelling and walking paths and were very friendly.

The visitor centre itself is OK but I regret to say I found the staff lacking some interest. Especially if I compare to the much friendlier Exmouth visitor center.
They were not rude but also not friendly and informative.
We had had some days of bad weather so I noticed a lot of visitors were asking the same questions about when it would stop raining. They had to repeat the same answers over and over again and I could see they weren't loving it. But hey, that's part of the job.
I work in customer service myself and I know it is hard to keep your smile when you're having a bad day but come one, Cape Range is such a beaufiful place to work so why not smile a little more ???

One of the best Information Centres I have visited.
Friendly staff, gorgeous displays, fabulous video playing in the back room and lovely clean toilets!
Well priced gifts and souvenirs.
All camping information was clear and easy to access.
A hidden gem!

The Visitor Center is located 15 minutes by car south of Cape Range National Park entrance: in the center you can find all the information about experiences to do, tide and snorkeling conditions. You can buy souvenirs and fresh drinks.
Outside the Center there is the toilets.
All around the Center is often seen Kangaroos.
Ideal for a pause and for planning excurtions.
Great pit stop !!!

Great building, nice informative, geographic display. Ice creams.
The staff could've been more helpful, we thought. Whilst we were at the Ningaloo, there was a Jelly infestation, and the centre was displaying warning signs for the tourists to take heed. We along with every subsequent visitor after us asked about this and the staff were obviously pretty bored with repeating the info and it showed! The warnings recommended that you wore a stinger vest in the water, and every person that walked in asked if they could purchase one? They didn't sell them, but they did have a good selection of ornaments?!!! Go figure! I think if I was manager I would've shipped in a sackful of stinger vests and loaded 50% on the price as tourists like us, would've gladly handed over the dosh! They call it supply and demand!!!

If you're visiting the Cape Range National Park it's worth calling into the Milyering Visitor Centre. It has lots of information and some great souvenirs. If you don't have cash to pay your park entrance fee you can pay here by eftpos.

When you read about visiting Cape Range National Park and its major attraction, pretty much any map or guide will mention Milyering Visitor Centre. There are some strong tides and currents in the area - and it is mentioned everywhere to check with Milyering Visitor Centre to get the advise - what are current conditions, are road accessible, etc.
Well, we did visit Milyering Visitor Centre, however, not advise was given on tides and currents, the lady simply asked how comfortable we are being in the water, and advised to listen to our own bodies. Nice advise, but, not really helpful.
And yes, after visiting the centre, we simply Googled tides and winds to plan our itinerary visiting Cape Range National Park.
