Great part of the West Australian coast. Remote and unspoilt part of the world. Stay in Denham and it is an eas drive to Monkey Mia to see the dolphins, Francois Peron and Denham itself. Shark Bay is a unique place.

We spent three wonderful days in the Shark bay and Denham areas. It is a truly mesmerising place, astonishingly beautiful, rugged and peaceful. Francois Peron National Park is a must see but there are lots of lovely stretches of coastline to see and explore. Denham makes a great base to explore Shell Beach and Little Lagoon and the likes

We stayed in the Shark Bay area for 3 nights. Main goal was to visit Monkey Mia. I maybe did not know what to expect, or my expectations were to high, but i was overall disappointed in the village of Denham. The village has not a nice "vibe". It is good to stay there, if you dont want to stay in the expensive resort at Monkey Mia. And it is probable a great place if you have a boat, or if you travel and camp with 4WD gear, but I was expecting a bit of a "holiday-seaside resort" feeling, but I did not get this at all. No nice out side cafes. There is not a nice beach. Like I said, not what I expected.

I couldn’t find the area to write my review but I needed to let people know. Mitch was an awesome pilot, young as he is he has great customer service skills and knowledgeable if the area even though he’s only been here a few months

The views were amazing, we did flight 6 which encumbered everywhere with the exception of the tip of Dirk Hartog Island.

Definitely worthwhile. Thanks Mitch

Shark Bay is located on the mid-northern coast of Western Australia. Although there are basic facilities available, Shark Bay is largely untouched. It has many natural features, including the stromatolites, said to be the oldest living things on earth. Fishing is excellent; Shark Bay is said to be one of the world's best sports fishing venues. Shark Bay is heritage listed by UNESCO.

What a beautiful place to spend a week!!
Most things you need are available, IGA, fuel, a great wood fired pizza shop, bottleo, chemist, bakers, bait and fishing supplies, 2 taverns serving food, cafe and Nik nak shops.
A fantastic children playground on the foreshore, and lots of walks In and around Shark bay.

Quite a beautiful area which starts from Hamelin Pools and goes out into the ocean. There are plenty of sights along the way to Denham or Monkey Mia including Shell Beach, Eagle Bluff and Ocean Park.
There are a few things to do here like 4WD tours into the National Park or riding a wildlife cruise at Denham or Monkey Mia to look for the elusive manatee. It is a fishers paradise with lots of places to cast lines from.
Worth a visit for the beautiful scenery and magnificent beaches. Make sure to spend at least 3-4 days here to be able to take everything in.
