What an awesome place to visit for the day or two, 4wd is required as it is a sandy track all the way so do the right thing and let your tyres down, there are basic campsites at given locations, lots of wild life about...More
Great place for a day visit from Denham or Monkey Mia but a 4WD is essential as deep and soft sand road to navigate.
Stunning scenery especially the area with the red cliffs. Several short walks and board walks enable you to spot lots of...More
I love a good hot tub especially when it's in a unique place which meant Francois Peron was a must do for us. The hot tub had just been refilled when we arrived and the water was HOT!! Even in spring, expect to need to...More
This is one of the best national parks in Australia and it's only 5 car minutes from the town of Denham, close to Monkey Mia. Red earth, white beaches, turquoise water, eagles, emus, roos, snakes, lizards, thorny devils and dolphins and sharks... What is not...More
The Homestead is very interesting, if you like historical information and actual artefacts and residences associated with sheep shearing. Farther in to the park, there is lots of sand/ dirt road, so to access all of the sights, a 4-wheel drive is necessary.

This park was stunning. So much to do and see. The beaches were awesome. The tracks going into the park are quite sandy so a high clearance 4wd is a must. You can get in as far as Big Lagoon in a SUV. Wouldn't recommend...More

70% if the track is easy and the hard bits are just soft sand. Let your tyres down to around 15 and you will have no problems getting anywhere in Peron in the Prado. If you have got access to a set of maxx Trax, be worth putting them in. Let the ranger know you are going and when due back if you want to be on the safe side he is a Friend of mine - Matt James. There are quite a few people who use it, so always someone to drag you out if you get stuck.
