We called as part out tour visting the old cycling velodrome first then this museum which is rich in local history stuff loads old intersting things and lots to do with mining a worth a visit place

full of old world charm, lots of interesting bits and bobs to see, friendly staff, wonderful old relics of yesteryear, a trip to memory lane for sure :)

This little museum looks pretty ordinary from the front door, but once that door opens the endless amount of treasures to explore inside and outside are just amazing.

The old Road Board building is lovely....and from the outside it gives no hint to the treasures stored within this amazing collection! This museum is incredible, it just goes on and on and you really need hours to see what is here. I love the...More

The Museum is a real surprise once you enter the front door. From the outside we thought it would be a quick look but once inside the displays were really interesting. Each room was another discovery. for the money we thought it was a bargain....More
