Nice spot lovely walk and great fishing. Always see the locals fishing and successful at that. I think they've done z great job in landscaping this area. Nice beach at one end and play ground. Just past the coffee shops

This area of Carnarvon is very neat & nicely presented with plenty of seating to sit & take in the views. It’s close to the Main Street. There are Memorial plaques along the wall for each of the sailors that lost their lives on the...More

The facine is a beautiful place to relax. Take a picnic lunch or grab a take away lunch, go to the facine, enjoy the view and relax

The Fascine is nice for a walk and it has as well a playground for the kids. The playground is only "ok" compared to other ones, which we have seen in Australia.

The kids had a very enjoyable play in the playground and we walk around the water's edge for a while. The view across the water was pretty and the remnants of the old railway line out to the coast were fascinating. We didn't spend long...More

If you see the signs to Carnarvon, lock your doors, close the windows and keep on driving. This place looks like a post apocalyptic wasteland, especially the plantation area leading towards Oyster Stack. A littleknown fact is that Carnarvon featured in the movie 'The Lion...More

Finally the access to the fascine is open and catamarans can get in. There are plenty of moorings and space to anchor.

You will no doubt be told that the word Fascine refers to bundles of wood used to protect banks or cover marshy ground. However, while the wood may have gone the name has stuck for this peaceful and welcome inlet on the west of the...More

Carnarvon is such a beautiful place to go for a walk along the waterfront (the fascine). Great for running, walking or bike riding. Park and playground along the foreshore for the kids, and some great hotels.

A well kept walk with pleasant views across the bay. It's well worth the effort to see as you may miss it driving through. Plenty of places to wet your whistle. A camera is a must for snaps along the walk under the canopy.
