Detoured on our cycling trip up the steep climb (2 kms at 10%) but it was worth it. Impeccable views of the valley, and interesting historical perspective. If you like castles and dungeons, then you will like this. 10 euros per head or 8 euros...More

Totally fascinating castle in a stunning but fairly unknown part of Savoie. The garden is magical and down in the dungeon where the Marquis De Sade was imprisoned there is still graffiti carved onto the walls. Great view of Mont Blanc from the tower.

Cool history with Marquis de Sade having been a prisoner here. There is an English packet for info. Make sure you go all the way to 'hell' for all the prison rooms.

A great visit, really quiet, lovely to stroll around, the garden was lovely and really helpful having all plants named. The views were stunning a great place to take photos and enjoy the wonder of France.

It was tucked out of the way, not too crowded, and is in great condition. I enjoyed to flower garden. The woman at the front was very helpful and gave me the English version of the history to take as I explored the grounds.
