Even though we visited Tres Chimbadas Lake in the rain we thoroughly enjoyed our hike to the lake and our time on the boat watch the lake otters, birds, and finally Piranha Fishing. So easy to catch my kids can now say the first fish they ever caught was a piranha.

I thoroughly enjoyed Pirana fishing. There were heaps in the water. Got bites immediately when the bait hit the water. You have to be extremely quick on the strike as they strip the bait so quick. Caught other types of small fish too.

Peaceful and relaxing 2 hours on a catamaran punt. No motors or outside noise, just the sounds of the gently lapping water and the jungle. Chance to spot Black Cayman, Kingfishers, Anhingas or "Snake Birds", Blue Macaws, Hoatzin or "Stinkbird" and more. Also fishing for Piranha.

Loved the bird watching and the local wildlife. This includes the piranha fishing. We went as part of an activity with Posadas Amazonas (a great company).

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the Lake spotting wildlife. We saw caiman, macaws, a Tarantula and even managed to sneak in some Piranha fishing. Very half day excursion.

great excursion! Saw many kinds of birds, caught some piranhas (to observe) and watched a giant river otter family (of 4) for awhile. Beautiful experience.

Spent peaceful time by this lake, look carefully the more you look the more you see. Saw Cayman, turtles, bats, birds and monkeys. Need to sit quietly and patiently and you will discover more and more.

We traveled this lake by boat in the early morning hours of day 1 of our trip to the Amazon. We fished for Piranha and saw many different species of bird while we were there. Unfortunately we never spotted the black caiman or the giant otters, but the group before us saw both. Honestly it didn't matter. The peacefulness of... More

This was the most peaceful place I have ever been to in my life. The guides were wonderful and spotted birds, animals and fish as we glided along. I appreciated the fact that they were committed to protecting the land. They taught a lot !
