We drove by there on one of their 'closed days' but the guards let us drive up to the mirador where there is lot of information on display even then the visitor center is closed. It is interesting to visit a mining city like Copiapo...More

If you have a car I recommend going there because you can enjoy a drive viewing the desert landscapes. The museum is just a few boards to read and a video, and I would say that it could be better and has a lot more...More

If in the Copiapó or Caldera region then this is a great thing to do as a half day trip. First off, this place is only open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm!!! So plan accordingly! We drove on our own in a normal Peugeot...More

a two hour visit is worth it! you get a real view of the surroundings of the mine and you get an slight idea of what they might have been feeling...
