For nature lovers

A very well preserved park inside the city. Amazing place for walks, pic-nics, jogging and for being in contact with nature.

I was only able to spend a short time at this park, but I could easily spent much more time there. It is a beautiful park and there are many opportunities to see local Brazilian animals. There is even exercise equipment for those looking for a more strenuous walk . People there were very friendly and I always felt safe.

Great park. The area is huge and it has a nice infrastucture. Entrance is free and the location is very central!

We went a couple of times when we visited cuiaba and got to see cute little monkeys, and iguana, and even a small capibarra. Like any park in Brazil the wooden equipment was worn and had rough edges, but the park was still fun even in the heat of the dry season.

With a few hours to kill before catching a plane, we took a taxi to the park and walked around for a couple of hours. The highlight of the morning was the troop of Silvery Marmosets (monkeys) feeding in the trees. Finding a taxi back to our hotel proved to be a trifle difficult. No one spoke much English, and... We walked to the park from our hotel-an easy 20 minutes. We were impressed with how many people were using the park on a Monday morning-jogging, bird watching, and using the exercise stations. The signage is great, bathrooms clean and here's cold filtered water near the education center! A bonus! While there we saw agoutis, marmosets and lots of birds.... More

The large natural forest park has many birds, small monkeys and pacas. The park has paved trais ideal for jogging and some stations with fitness gear. My favorite trail runs around the park and has approximately 3.5 km. There are clean toilets near the park house with an oppen air anfiteatre. In the morning at both entrances to the park... More

The park consist of a large extension of native forest with paved trails ideal for jogging or just walking. The park is full of native birds, small monkeys and pacas (small South American rodent that has a reddish-brown coat). The main trail around the park is approximately 3.7 km long. The park has also some exercise stations. In both entrances... More

We live in Cuiabá and often enjoy walks in this park. There are miles of good walking paths with a few ups and downs, nothing strenuous. It is free of charge, beautiful, very green, lots of shade, smells good, and is away from the bustle and noise of the big city. Many joggers in the park in the mornings. Sunday... More
