A trip to this imposing glacier gives you a chance to walk on the ice wearing cleats and to see and hear a truly astounding spectacle: blocks of ice rupturing and floating away as icebergs.

Just sat and enjoyed the stunning silence of the glaciers. Finally I heard a 'boom' then saw the water lapping up the pieces of ice that had melted.

This was definitely one of the most beautiful and impressive places I've ever been. Everyone should have the opportunity to visit it one day!

The boat trip is overpriced and the view you get isn't as good as the view from the walkway. Its also a bit of selfie competition, everyone vying to get the best spot for a selfie rather than actually enjoying the glacier. Take the walk...More

AMAAAAZING views everywhere!!! The glacier itself is awesome. Was also impressed how they keep the naional park clean and trash free. The park rangers are very friendly. it's indeed a spectacular experience. Definitely worth the travel going to Patagonia.

I recommend to see this blue glacier in your life, however I don't recommend the glacier trekking tour agency. Because of the monopolization of a market by a single supplier, travelers has no choice to compare services between agencies and they have to pay very...More

My friend and I did a trek on Perito Moreno Glacier at the start of our four month trip around South America. It was, and still is, the most amazing natural wonder that I have ever seen. And I've been lucky enough to see Niagara...More

Worth the entry fee but please take enough cash with you. When you arrive at the park boundary a national parks officer gets on the bus equipped with a smart phone and a tablet. However he asks for cash only! We thought we could pay...More

I would have given Perito Moreno Glaceir five stars but it is almost impossible to do on your own for cheap. You have to go with an agency, rent a car, or pay for the overpriced bus. The cheapest way, a 45 minute bus ride,...More

The only age restriction I remember about is you have to be older than 10 years to do the actual trekking on the glacier. As you said the classic tourist visit is not on the glacier. As an alternative to the regular walk... More

Hi, When I visited the glacier we rented a car for the day and honestly even though we were six people in the end it wasn't much cheaper than the tour buses. To get to the National Park's entrance from town (El Calafate) it... More
