A trip to this imposing glacier gives you a chance to walk on the ice wearing cleats and to see and hear a truly astounding spectacle: blocks of ice rupturing and floating away as icebergs.

Third world's largest after Antarctica and Greenland, so massive it must be seen to be believed. We did the mini trek (1.5 hrs) with our two young kids, we loved it as a family. We went with Grayline Tours (Argentina). Amazing views from the deck as well!

What an amazing time! We got the opportunity to trek on the glacier. In the middle of the tour the guide pulled out some glasses from his backpack, used his ice pick to chip at the ice and fill the glass. He then Pour us all some whiskey with glacier ice. It was a great experience!

IMO, this glacier is special. Compared with all natural landscapes I've been, this is by far the most beautiful one.

This is third largest store of ice on Mother Earth after Antartica and Greenland. What makes this glacier special is its unique shape and frequent ruptures. Its so accessible you can have a day trip from Puerto Natales if you are in Chile or stay at El Calafate, an Argentine town 90 minutes away from this magical place. When I... More

This beautiful glacier is surreal. It's massive and you can see all the way back to the mountains. The sound it makes when pieces break off is astonishing, almost like gunfire or a cannon. The walkway the park was made gets you very close and personal to the glacier, and you can definetly get a good idea of just how... More

Ever wanted to feel like John Snow on the Wall? This glacier defies the boundary between reality and imagination, it's just awesome. We went in autumn and actually caught the first snow of the year, adding to the experience. Glacier itself is located 80 km from the town of El Calafate, about an hour and 15 minutes by car/minivan. It... More

Like any glaciar it's a great site to contemplate, but what sets Perito Moreno apart is the location which is quite accessible, you not only get to see it by boat (which I would advise), but also have some walkways on the opposite site which are quite close to it. The sound of the cracking glaciar, the falling ice and... More

The glacier was one of the most beautiful things I have seen in Argentina. It hast the most beautiful shades of blue you have ever seen. The noise of cracking ice is incredible. If you are there its a must see!! The entrance is not that expensive but the bus ride there is. So if you have the possibility to... More

been on icelandic glacier hike, but this one beats that. consider your fitness level:big ice for 7-8 hour hike on the glacier, mini trekking, 2-3hours. our guide was great. have a shot of whiskey or glacier water upon reaching peak. respected and loved nature and mother earth more afterwards.
