A trip to this imposing glacier gives you a chance to walk on the ice wearing cleats and to see and hear a truly astounding spectacle: blocks of ice rupturing and floating away as icebergs.

Like any glaciar it's a great site to contemplate, but what sets Perito Moreno apart is the location which is quite accessible, you not only get to see it by boat (which I would advise), but also have some walkways on the opposite site which are quite close to it. The sound of the cracking glaciar, the falling ice and... More

The glacier was one of the most beautiful things I have seen in Argentina. It hast the most beautiful shades of blue you have ever seen. The noise of cracking ice is incredible. If you are there its a must see!! The entrance is not that expensive but the bus ride there is. So if you have the possibility to... More

been on icelandic glacier hike, but this one beats that. consider your fitness level:big ice for 7-8 hour hike on the glacier, mini trekking, 2-3hours. our guide was great. have a shot of whiskey or glacier water upon reaching peak. respected and loved nature and mother earth more afterwards.

This is a current wonder of the world. I was lucky enough to go on a bright and sunny day. The boat was full but there was plenty of room on the viewing decks. The ice was truly amazing. Bright white with loads of blue. The boat took us so close and we stayed near to the ice ages as... More

We hired a car to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. And honestly I don't know if in the end it was any cheaper. The road from El Calafate to the National Park where the Glacier is is quite straight forward. No risk to get lost. We had to pay 'cash' the entrance to the park and were given detailed instructions... More

Perito Moreno Glacier is a must see thing in Patagonia. We drove our rented car from El Calafate and saw lots of beautiful landscapes and some wild life along the road incl. condors. The glacier itself is just incredible. You can come pretty close to it through metal boardwalks across the glacier, from which you can see and hear the... More

This was one of the highlights of our South American adventure. It is a must, the set up is excellent, travel on a boat close to the Glacier, then walk the paths around the glacier. Listen to the ice cracking then look for the ice to fall, such a wonderful experience, we wished we had more time to sit and... More

The Glacier was great once we finally got to it. We were sold a tour package through Nibepo Aike Estancia where we stayed for 3 days. It was $170 per person. We were supposed to get a boat disembarking directly from the ranch that would take us on a beautiful boat ride on 2 arms of the lake to the... More

Incredible views from the metal boardwalks (pasarelas) on the peninsula across from the glacier - you can see all sides and get pretty close. Absolutely impressive both to see and hear.
