This was so awesome and you really should not miss this experience. This is not an attraction for people who have heart issues, are seriously out of shape or have problems walking. We parked on the South side and walked down to begin the walk. There are several routes to choose from, we just followed the majority of people. We... More

If you're visiting the Finger Lakes region, you owe it to yourself to visit Watkins Glen. Adorable village, but the park is the real standout! Walk up 1 mile through incredible carved glens and sparkling waterfalls. Plenty of park services and parking either at the top or the bottom of the Glen. Don't forget your camera! This is really one... More

We visited over Labor Day weekend so we expected a crowd... and boy was it crowded. The primary parking lot ran out of room and we were one of the last cars to squeeze in; cars were being turned away to park elsewhere. It was a beautiful park, but may have been more enjoyable with fewer people.

This was my first time in the Finger Lakes and I am very happy I picked this State Park. I kept thinking it was something out of Lord of the Rings/Middle-earth. Waterfalls and rock faces are fantastic. The park itself is not large and the hike is not strenuous or long. Very doable for hikers of most levels and ages.... More

This is one of the must sees for parks. Costs a few bucks to park but well worth it. Due to it being a nice day after a bunch of chilly ones, it was packed. Lots of steps and high up. If you are afraid of heights, may not be the best but it is so beautiful.

Watkins Glen is an amazing location, stunning waterfalls and great trail system. Late October/early November the leaves were fantastic.

Walking through the falls was a great experience. One of out party was concerned since she had a hip replacement but did not have any problems, we took our time. The water flow was low as there had a been a drought all summer Definitely worth the trip.

Really neat place to see. Hike was pretty easy considering it has over 800 steps to the top. The other option is to park and the top and hike down into the gorge. There is a shuttle bus that will take you back for a few bucks. There is also a little place to get a bite to eat when... More

There are 19 waterfalls along a 1.5 mile travel (each way) which has 800 steps with many opportunities to try alternate hikes as well. Please note the walk will be much chillier than the outside temps (as much as 10-15 degrees).
