We visited the park before the lower trails were open for the season, but the view from the upper trails were amazing. The lower trail is a dirt path and at around 1.5 miles long, makes for a relatively easy 3 mile hike. We entered...More

This place truly is awesome. I was there early in the season when the river was flowing pretty good. The waterfalls and cascades along the gorge were beautiful. Very scenic area. It's about a mile walk through the gorge and pretty easy hike. There are...More

This was a moderate hike but well worth the effort. I am so glad NYS has made such an effort to keep this area pristine

We visited Watkins Glen over this weekend with elderly in-laws. We didn't go much far as there were many stairs and it was wet due to rain. Outside some construction work was going on as well, but they have maintained temporary toilet arrangements which is...More

Absolutely stunning! They have a campground right up the street in the same park. Tents, campers and RVs welcome.

Great place to stop and visit while in Watkin's Glen. The gorge trail was closed when I was there which was a bit disappointing but the views from the upper rim trail are still worth the hike.

We walked to the one mile mark and that took us one hour as we stopped often to look at the waterfalls and rock formations. It took us 40 minutes to walk back which is easier as its a lot downhill. There is a shuttle if you... More
