First take a round and explore the entire place before you buy from one stall. You'll get full very quickly, so once you've gone through the stalls then make up your mind on two or three paces to stop at. I personally loved the different varieties of roasts and the zanzibar pizza.

The Forodhani Park is popular place for local residents to visit. Tourists visit this park, particularly in the evening when lanterns are on at the vendors stalls. The vendors sell mostly sea food. The place is lively but the best I could venture was having sugar cane juice squeezed from a cane right in front of us. The other food... More

Had a few meals here in the evenings- if you like eating in the open with people this could be like a 120m x30m wide open restaurant. Be careful to EAT Warm Food!!

Go get night street food! Everyone is super nice and the food is great. It starts around 6:30 and goes late. It's fun to be there after dark! The area is pretty safe at night too.

Our family dined here one evening when staying in Stone Town. We had read of the infamous pizza with nutella and banana so couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it. We arrived whilst stalls were still setting up so sat on the very sun warmed concrete benches watching boys swimming and the fishing boats passing. Very pleasant. We ended... More

Hit & miss with the freshness and how it's going to settle in your belly. They all work together so don't feel bad going from one to another. Nothing outstanding in my opinion. The weather is nice & it's a good people watching place.
