During our visit to Stene Town we had a little rest in this place as outside was quite hot.
Inside there are some handmade products and some other souvenirs.
So you look around for some time before resuming the visit of Stone Town.

We went to the Cultural Arts Centre during the heat of the day and found it a nice diversion from all the sun and people. Not too much to see but still was interesting.

We had 14 children attending a workshop on how to make notebooks and paint Tinga Tinga and it was absolutely great.
The Artists and staff were very helpful and the children loved it!

Nice little space in one of the alleyways. It sells handmade products, handicrafts, paintings and soaps. Bought 2 soaps which were elegantly wrapped in handmade paper and smelt nice.

I visited Cultural Arts Centre first some years ago, and was struck by the mix of hand-made crafted products and beautiful artworks displayed. The Director, Hamad, is a talented artist himself and promotes the work of many of his fellow Zanzibaris. Three young women produce the best soap on the island - you can't go wrong if you're looking for a small present! I have returned again and again and never fail to be delighted by what I find there!
