This was my first time doing a safari and the itinerary from Halisi African Adventures was really wonderful. Our group of five were taken by the most excellent guide/driver, Frank, to a number of national parks.
These included the Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater.

Frank provided a wealth of information. Sometimes I couldn’t keep up with all of the information he know about the parks, the area, and the animals. He knows it all! He especially delivered when we were in the crater and overheard on the radio that some rhinos were spotted. He went above and beyond to make sure we got to the spot where they were seen. And that checked off the Big 5 list.

All of the lodges we stayed at were amazing,
I can’t thank the organizers enough for an amazing experience. Definitely recommend Halisi African Adventures.

It’s with great regret that I have to say that we didn’t really much enjoy our visit here. It was very green and lush but we didn’t see much wildlife at all, with the exception of course of a few zebra, some monkeys and a beautifully disguised chameleon. There had been so much rain that the lake had flooded most of the driving tracks making them super muddy and impassable which was a shame . The “tree lions “ had gone shopping so it was lucky that we encountered them at Tarangire NP instead! 🦁😅
Still, at the end of the day it was an experience which we would not otherwise have had.

My father and I thoroughly enjoyed the safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Conservation area with Halisi African Adventures.
It was a lot of traveling and we saw a lot of the country, but it was worth it. Next time we will likely focus on one or two parks. Also, we believe one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip was spending 6 days with Frank,
Our guide/driver. He is a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgable and friendly. I could not be more pleased. My father loved asking him questions and talking with him.
The trip was a constant conversation and I'm sure he was exhausted by the end. We really appreciated his willingness to converse with us. Also, we greatly enjoyed all the camps and the lodges.
The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent.
Again, I would like to thank Halisi African Adventures for everything and highly recommended

Lake Manyara is a great stop for those with limited time in Northern Tanzania. It had a great density of wildlife and felt like a sprawling park even though it is actually quite small in comparison to the Serengeti (especially since most of it is a lake).

Beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife. The park is open during daylight hours. The park entrance includes a gift shop and washroom facilities.

We only had about an hour and a half here due to unforeseen circumstances of us arriving late from Kenya. However, I'm a great believer in things happen for a reason. If we hadn't arrived here till about 5pm we wouldn't have seen the stunning female leopard that was draped over an acacia tree and the female lion also in a tree.
Wonderful !

Overall, not we did not feel this park was worth the time. It is different from other locations, in that it is more lush and green....but the wildlife is much more limited and unless you get lucky, you won't see much other than elephants. We did get lucky and see one tree lion and one leopard...which were the highlight of the day and made it worthwhile...but in general, your time is probably better spent at Tarangire, Ngorongoroand the Serengeti.

Of the parks we went to, tarangire, ngorogoro and serengeti, this one might be skipped. We saw alot of elephants very close but that was about it, except for the usual suspects, zebras, gazelles, worthog, monkeys, baboons and so on. The nature was beautiful but after the other parks this felt less impressive.

Large amounts of rain in 2020 increased the size of the lake by almost 50%. Some of the "roads" are now washed out, but that didn't alter my view of this park. It was a change of pace from the other parks I had already visited in that it had a lot more foliage. Spotting animals is a little more difficult. I did see a number of animals including baboons, elephants, impalas, buffalo and giraffes. There was at least one lion there because we saw his tracks, but we couldn't find it. If you like baboons, including babies, this park is for you. There is an abundance of baboons.
