Always nice to support the local people selling their articles. It is pretty much always the same but can you ever have enough sarong in your cupboard? Or baskets?

When you choose going there , out of protected hotel ...you need tons of patience and some firm attitude towards the people that will harcel you , endless, cheating on you telling need to cash for orphelinats,coop of village etc...do not accept any invitations!!!!!

Lots in the market and typical of other markets I visited. The prices for some items seemed expensive. Wouldn't visit for a second time.

It is your average place to buy souvenirs, fabrics and other paraphernalia, try the tuareg jewelry it's nice even though it comes from Mali and Niger.

It's a african market, but based on the tourism.. If you want to see a real african market, you have to take a taxi to Mbour or the first village along the road to Dakar.

If you have the option to go there and do not buy anything just do it otherwise it is just a rip off! Locals will make you feel sorry for them and triple the price of every single items but if you walk a block...More

on the market very big price for souvenir, if compare with Dakar, price here Double-Trible times more. Here have a ot of national souvenir like mask, costums. Local cosutum cheap. 8 euro

I came here with my friend, Diallo Abdoulaye of Diallo Tours. It was a pleasant experience. The shop owners were nice and friendly. I bought a couple of nice tokens like fabric, wallets, key holders, bracelets, etc. all at good prices...
