As most of the posts mention, this is a lovely, colourful Tamil temple and well worth visiting if you're in the area. There are other similar temples in the region but this one was the best example we found. You will be charged for photos...More

The temples were amazing and set in beautiful surroundings There were even a couple of resident monkeys which visited at a distance. Imagine on festival days it must be spell bounding.

Beautiful place to visit. Lots of monkeys around and beautiful statues to see. The history of the temple is very interesting

A must place to visit with beautiful statues, you are encouraged to enter even if it is not your religion and personal blessings are offered, We were lucky enough to see a monkey whilst we were there which was an added bonus.

Went there this morning on my way to the vegtable market. It was a lovely little temple dedicated to Shiva. They had an altar for ganisha youngest son of shiva and a second one dedicated to Kartiki the eldest son of Shiva.

What a beautiful landmark! The temple is dedicated to Shiva and displays a multitude of colourful frescos, statues and bas-reliefs. We could take pictures if we made a small suggested donation (200rp/ €5). I'm glad we did! My only regret is not having someone explain...More

Well worth a visit. Beautiful design and structure. Very peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. The temple was open when we visited but we did not come across anyone to show us around or conduct a prayer. Close by to Grand Baie and on the bus route.

The Tamal Temples were the nicest things to photograph. Their deep colours and detailed imagery of Hindu Gods and stories attached to them were just enchanting. Whilst the temples differ very much from the common hindu temples of the area, they are definately worth visiting.
