The Wild Center is an 81-acre hands-on place to get all kinds of new perspectives on the wild world of the Adirondacks. It will include Wild Walk, a brand new trail across the treetops starting in the summer of 2015. The Wall Street Journal called The Wild Center "Glorious" in its review, and The New York Times called it "stunning". The Center has live animals, a wide screen theater, canoes, its own river, guides walks, tons of cutting-edge green building systems, and the only treetop walk in the Adirondacks.

The Wild Center is a great attraction for the area that highlights the wonders of the Adirondacks. The new wild walk is enjoyable for everyone, but children would find it most fun. The eagles nest gives amazing views, and the spiders web is particularly fun...More

We enjoyed our time here, despite the busloads of noisy school children. We enjoyed the slide show in the theater and the walk was easy to do. We especially enjoyed see the live turtles and fish in the displays. We took many pictures.More

We stopped here after having read about it in a magazine. The $20 fee is probably a bit high for what the center contains. I would recommend it for smaller children as it is not too large to be overwhelming to them. We spent most...More

I expected to love the Wild Walk the best but since there was not even a bird in sight, I think the best part was the indoor exhibit center. There was excellent information available and any time I can spend watching a river otter (named...More

Bring bug spray! We were swarmed by mosquitoes by the door of the museum and in the woods near the raised walk attraction. Understandably there is a lot of standing water in the area, but the swarms were pretty shocking! The wild walk was interesting...More

Why is this place so awful? Is there going to be more attractions each year? Why is there nothing for adults? Why is there not an adult day without a thousand little kids running around screaming? It's awful!
