Not far from Ithaca on the western side of Cayuga lake you can find this beautiful waterfall just a few feet from the area parking lot. The amphitheater view is one of the best anywhere. You can walk to the base and feel the mist. Beware, Ithaca has had a severe lack of rain and all the local falls are... More

We saw the falls from the viewing spot looking down on the falls - a beautiful vista. We did go down the the road so that we could walk the path to get closer to the falls. The walk is about 3/4 of a mile one way and well worth the walk - there is a slight rise at the... More

This is a spot that is So UnderRated! OK... there is water falling further than anywhere else this side of the Rockies. Not a lot of water (except in the spring), just a big drop!!! I live nearby, I stop in often... It changes all the time. I never see the same Falls twice... Perhaps I am a Romantic... So... More

The falls overlook is a special treat during the winter with the beautiful ice formations. Visiting the overlook also offers the new educational displays there.

Higher than Niagara but not as big but still very impressive. Do not miss this if you are in the area, which has many beautiful waterfalls. Must pay to park in the summer at the bottom of the falls but worth it for the access to the trails around or to the bottom of the falls.

The waterfall was a little wimpy when we visited (due to lack of rainfall), but no less impressive. Also we saw an interesting fish under the bridge near the waterfall. Loved walking through the riverbed on the way to the falls, too--not sure if that's something you can do year-round, or only when there hasn't been rain in a while,... More

This is my hometown and I'm proud of it. The falls is the most beautiful falls I've seen. I love traveling to falls but nothing compares to the amazement of this wonderful place created by nature! You're welcome to walk up to the falls but stay out of the water. Staff isn't afraid to escort you out. (That's not from... More

Really nice falls and walking trails here and at no charge . This set of falls is open to the general public and they have rest rooms on the premises . I found the place easy to navigate to get close to the falls , even though they had an area right off the parking lot if you chose not... More

We visit the Falls Overlook whenever in the Ithaca area. It is a must stop in every season. With our drought this 2016 summer, the falls dried up, but for a trickle, yet it was still a beautiful sight to see the rock formation that is not visible when water is trailing over in a thunderous speed. The new Visitor... More

Great long or short family hike, dogs included! You can hike right up to the falls for an awesome family photo. Going in the Fall was color in full bloom!
