Beautiful stone stairs, well-maintained trail, with gravel (was not muddy or slippery despite the rain). If you are short on time, the shorter trail to the bottom of the falls offers the best view, and best spot for taking pictures. The longer trail at the...More

We enjoyed the various views from the scenic view parking area and the North Rim Trail. A delightful spring day and many trees still in blossom. We can no longer do much hiking so the viewpoints and easy hike were such a treat.

The Falls may be taller than Niagara, but really there's no comparison. Nonetheless, Taughannock is a lovely stop to or from Cornell and Ithaca. Gorge!

We decide to come to Taughannock Falls after a rainy spring and it did not disappoint. The falls had plenty of water to make it an amazing site. We first stopped at the visitors center, which was still closed for the season, and there we...More

Stopped here with brother and both our families during a week long vacation in the area. I highly recommend a stop here. If you can't do the hike to the bottom then at least stop by the viewing at the top. We came during spring...More

This is a state park with beach-front (Cayuga Lake) on one side of the road and a beautiful waterfall and hard-packed hiking trail on the other. The trail is essentially flat (baby strollers and wheel chairs can go) and takes you past 3 or 4...More

The park is easily walkable. There is parking both at the upper falls overlook, and down by the lake when you walk to the falls from below. The walking paths are wide, level and have a packed gravel surface. Sounds like you... More
