The Rensselaer County Historical Society and Museum (RCHS) is a dynamic not-for-profit established in 1927 to connect local history and heritage with contemporary life. Situated in the picturesque downtown Second Street Historic District in Troy, New York, the galleries and programs are located in two adjacent 19th century townhouses and a carriage house. Our furnished house museum is the historic and architecturally significant 1827 marble Hart-Cluett House while our Carr Building showcases several exhibits, outstanding archives and a research library. Throughout three seasons we offer Walking Tours and Hidden History Tours. In addition our renowned four day-long Holiday Greens Show opens every year one week after Thanksgiving each year since 1956. Enjoy holiday magic in the Hart-Cluett House Museum lushly decorated in live greens, fragrant garland and fresh flowers. Troy's widely popular Victorian Stroll grew from the beloved tradition that is the RCHS Green's Show.
