I had the pleasure of visiting this art gallery today and meeting 2 of the artists whose works are currently showing. While the exhibitions were very different - one a mix of paint and poetry, the other photography- it was a treat to be able...More

I was looking for a new place to visit on the drive back to Baltimore from NYC. This wonderful local park fit the bill perfectly. It is a quiet "sleeper" of a park, with acres of history, architecture, art and gardens. Although not well funded,...More

Snug Harbor is my favorite place on Staten Island. I could spend all day roaming around the gardens. The healing garden is my favorite spot.

Lovely quiet place to sit, relax, or ponder. There's a nice pond with turtles and swans. Also a Zen garden. It also has a cool artist vibe. Snug harbor often has weddings, shows, fairs, and plays. You can even take classes like photography.
