Loved discovering Horton Point. We visited the beach below- did some fishing and was then given an amazing tour by some great volunteers. So much history.

not open weekdays -sad. Would have liked to see the interesting information about the site. Walked around and was well taken care of - two trucks were there - do not understand why it wasn't open??More

The Lighthouse is only open on Saturdays and Sundays between Memorial Day and Columbus Day. Visitors can enjoy the Nautical exhibit and climb the tower between 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Our guides are volunteers and sadly can't cover week days. I wish we could....More

Lucked out and visited the Horton Point Lighthouse on a beautiful day. Nice visit and a beautiful view. You can also bring a lunch or grill food in the picnic area. Only open on weekends.

The Horton's Point Light is a wonderful site. The museum is simple but authentic and the docents are friendly and welcoming. They are Southold people who will show you around the lighthouse with the kind of hospitality that is almost nonexistent since the 1940's. I...More

Well kept grounds and an interesting part of the historic NOFO. It makes for a nice excursion. There are even pick nick benches. One can climb stairs down to the sound.

Old lighthouse is now a museum. Picnic area with great views of the Long Island Sound out to Connecticut. You can even walk down the steps if your bold to the beach below.

We drove into the parking lot, and paid $5 to park. The Lighthouse was supposed to open at 11:30. Never happened. When we left, I asked for our money back. The attendant said "didn't I tell you it wasn't going to open?" No he didn't....More
