Nice local museum devoted to the history of the airplane. Offers a variety of exhibits. Multiple opportunities for hands-on experiences. Be sure to bring the kids. There are two buildings to visit. The smaller building is devoted to the space program. For an extra fee you can experience riding in a SRV. Through the smaller building you gain access to... More

Great place if you are REALLY "into" aviation and planes ..lots of info & displays and a big collection of planes outside. Not a great place to go if you are only mildly interested. Displays are old and kitschy. If you aren't thrilled with aviation, price is steep...if you love planes & aviation, price is a discount. Hubby (ex-Air Force)... More

This small museum tucked out of the way by Schenectady airport is a place for airplane lovers. Located in two buildings and an outside area, there are many interactive displays dispersed among static ones. Outside are many planes and helicopters. Inside is the model of the Japanese "Agaki" battleship from the movie "Tora, Tora, Tora." If anyone is a fan... More

The Empire State Aerosciences Museum is filled with artifacts and displays that cover the history of flight. I especially liked the artifacts related to WW I and women in flight. My husband loved being up close to aircraft in the hanger and out on the tarmac (you are permitted to sit in some of them). He is a huge fan... More

We really enjoyed the museum. It's all about airplanes and their history, the innovators and accomplishments. The Amelia Earhart exhibit is really good. The Antarctic exhibit was too. The bombing of USS Arizona has large model submarine in one area that was very well done. A good visit.

This museum is set up in away that tells a story yet, gives you a look at history and artifacts of the aeorscience history. There were some amazing exhibits that you need to see for yourself. Different media was used to interest just about anyone. Even a person like myself who has little knowledge in this field of interest. I... More

If you visit on a day when the cockpits are often you can sit in the pilots seat. There is a variety of static aircraft to see and it is worth the price of admission. The museum portion is very interesting for young and old. Lots of exhibits. Best time to visit is when the B 17 flies in. Check... More

Great discovery options thoroughly enjoyed by the 4 and 5 year old grandsons. Recommend to anyone with children and everyone who loves airplanes.

Older, smaller museum. Some interactive exhibits. Very informative. Not quite 4 stars, but not 3 either, more like 3.5 stars. Great for adults interested in aviation. Young kids will be interested as well. Challenging with tweens.

I love the Amelia Earhart exhibit at the museum which is sponsored by the Zonta Club of Schenectady. There is a replica of her plane and a manequein that looks just like her. There is also a wonderful space rover exhibit. Very interesting for adults and children alike.
