If you love Dance this is the place to visit. It's in the Spa State Park. Lots to see, shoes, costumes etc... The room are very spacious. Restroom very nice clean. Parts of the museum were under renovations. A collection of Tommy Tune's shoes on display.

The National Museum of Dance was just wonderful. It isn't a very large museum, but the exhibits they had were so engaging, it was well worth the visit. When we were there they were paying tribute to Dancing in Films, and they had a triple screen presentation of dancing from the beginning of film-making. Additionally, there was a lovely installation... More

We had a wonderful visit to see this amazing museum. I loved the very large ballet pointe shoe in one of the rooms. Ballet tutus in another section with other theatrical clothing to see with vibrant colors. Upon the side entrance there is a beautiful tutu artistic design in a mauve color. Videos to see with some history of dance... More

Made a special trip for my 9 year old, only to arrive to a closed museum. In the age of Internet, and awesome review sites like Tripadvisor, you should take the time to ensure that the information online regarding your hours is correct. Call before you plan a trip!

If you love dance this is worth a visit. Many costumes and photos of famous dancers of all types. The architecture of the building makes it a great place just to walk around and look at. I understand they rent out spaces for weddings as well. Often special activities and craft fairs are also held here.

A small but really nice museum. We were fortunate to enter just as a dance recital was taking place. Great time! Interesting exhibits and good photography!

I went there because my tango teacher is the curator of the 125 years of tango exhibit and because I love love love dancing, ballet & costuming in general. This museum is a gem. Highly suggested

I had photographed a wedding here before, but never ventured past the foyer. One day, I spent the $6.50 and was delighted - beyond words really. Right now there is a Tango exhibit going on there, as well as other historic timelines of dance. I honestly was blown away with the detail here and will be back for another visit... More
