A self guided tour of historic Sackets Harbor is a must! With the Battlefield, you will learn the history of when the War of 1812 was fought here. You can also visit the mansion and learn even more about the battles fought. Stick your head...More

This site is big, much bigger than you initially think, and it's well-taken care of (lawn manicured, trails clean and orderly). The problem is that there is a lack of resources to really tell the story of what happened. There are some markers and a...More

This was a pleasant walk with good signage and a great view of the lake and harbor. Include in your walk the humble but interesting museum about one block away and the tourist bureau. Both have exhibits worth a few minutes of your time.

A large park on the edge of water where the great Battle of Sacketts Harbor occurred. They do reenactments certain times during the summer. Worth the stop!

Not much is open before 11am on a Sunday in Sacket's Harbour. The friendly staff at the battlefield area decided to open the little museum an hour early when they saw the number of people wandering around. Admission is free for most of the park...More

We stumbled into Sackets Harbor for a side trip and were very pleasantly surprised. Free parking was available and a short walk to most of the village there. We did most of the walking tour of the battle field and found it quite interesting. We...More
