How often can you go up in a lighthouse?

The guide was very good. The light house is a tight fit and not appropriate for large groups. The house contains displays and artifacts. Very nice views from the top.

This is a small quaint lighthouse however the tour guides provide very in depth discussion about not only the lighthouse and its history but the history of the surrounding area. Definitely worth the $5.

Had a great time learning about the lighthouse and history and then we went to the top. The stairs are pretty steep and at the end you have to climb a ladder to get into the very top. But well worth it. The view is amazing and the volunteers are awesome!!

Really cool lighthouse ... you receive a sticker when you go up to the top ... don't do this on a really hot day because it gets really hot up there LOL. Great fun for kids who are not afraid of heights.

The lighthouse was closed when we visited, but we walked over to the riverfront boardwalk and the views were very beautiful. There is a nice little seafood restaurant there and benches to sit and just enjoy the scenery.

My 3 year old wanted to see what it was like in a lighthouse. We visited the museum and the lighthouse. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The view from the top of the lighthouse is beautiful!

We enjoyed our visit to the lighthouse. The small museum in the keepers house had some interesting displays, and the curator did a great job explaining the history of the lighthouse. Then we climbed the lighthouse and enjoyed the view!

Beautiful grounds. They were closed when we got there, but we just hung out on the property and enjoyed the view. Lots of places to sit and relax. Great view!

Really a unique and very interesting place with quite the history! The stories surrounding the lighthouse are very interesting. During the Revolutionary War.....there is history about how the soldiers and people of the area circulated around the lighthouse to fool the British into thinking there was an endless supply of soldiers defending the area..and they retreated. The walk up the... More

I had visited here almost 20 years ago, but I learned so much more on this visit! The docents who gave the tours of both the keepers' house and the lighthouse itself were wonderful. They gave very detailed history and information and were a joy! These volunteers obviously love their work because they are so thorough and cheerful. They didn't... More
