We reserved the Maple Shelter for a sweet 16 birthday party. The shelter is tucked into a nice wooded area, but still provides some sun to poke through. The shelter can handle about 50 individuals and there are 2 tables outside. There is a single large charcoal grill that should be ample to feed the masses. It is very quiet... More

Lots of trails in the park for all sorts of walks. Everyone trail has a view worth looking at. Given the lakes and trees this place would be worth a visit for any season. Walked Durant Lake trail today and say only a handful of people. Good place to get away from it all.

I had not been to this beach in years. Parking was easy the beach was clean and life guards were very attentive. Kids enjoyed playing in the sand and swimming. They do not allow balls or flotation devices in the life guard area swimming. The are garbage cans and porta potties close by.

One of my absolute favorite places to go for a walk! 2 beautiful lakes with fairly well-marked trails. This is one of Rochester's BEST! No matter what time of year, it is really beautiful! Each season offers a totally different, but equally beautiful experience! The trails are not very difficult, with only a few areas of elevation and tricky footing.... More

There's not much left of the beach area, and the cops will chase you away if you park too long at night, but this park still has some great natural areas for hiking and strolling.

Great hiking on Lake Ontario. Beach is sandy and shallow for a ways out. Many boats pull close to shore. Port spotted available. No other am entities immediately inept you. Arbboretum beautiful. Glacier ponds to an 18 hole golf course great. Dont hit the deer on the fairways. Park side restaurant nearby for food is ok and great for family... More

We were on our way from Florida to Boston. We made a stop in Rochester to take a break before heading to Cooperstown New York. My daughter wanted to see if you Great Lakes so we stopped at Lake Erie and stop here at Durand Eastman Park to see Lake Ontario. We were pleasantly surprised to find a nice beach... More
