To walk down the pier on a hot day with the cool breeze coming off the lake. Going for an ice cream at Abbott's.

Ontario Beach Park houses an authentic working carousel that you can ride for $1.00. Brings back memories of childhood. A walk on the pier is just what you need after an Abbott's Ice Cream treat located on Lake Ave before you enter the Park. Do not count on swimming at this beach, however. The water is often unavailable to swimmers... More

People use to take the train up from NYC to get away from the heat and this is still a place to go in the summer for the lake and sand or eat at the restaurants around or get ice cream at Abbott's. Even in winter a nice place to walk

Beautiful park. Great place for a picnic. Nice beach. The restored carousel is quite special. Great trail up the river -- a good bike ride.

Beautiful place to go in the warm months ... great for picnics and the merry-go-round is a must do/must see treat.

The merry-go-round and beaches are great for summer. However, walking on the boardwalk and Charlotte pier are great year round. The Secret Garden walkway, a public but little known walkway, is not far and worth a stroll to see flowers changing from Spring through Fall.

The last time I had been to Ontario Beach Park was in 1964 when I was 10 years old and went with my father. Recently, I took my 4-year old granddaughter. We were absolutely thrilled with the magnificent classic carousel of vintage heritage ($1 for a great ride). The park is clean and beautiful. The beach was fantastic and well... More

It has a lovely view and the boats are docked here. There is a big park for kids to play, fishing and two restaurants to eat here. I think in the summer time, this place would be filled with activities. I would come back when the weather gets warmer.
