Even in snow this is a beautiful park

Lilac time is the best but this special park is lovely at all times of the year . Don't miss the small conservatory near the reservoir !

This is a beautiful place for a nice leisurely walk, especially during the lilac festival. The flowers are beautiful and even though it gets crowded during the festival it still can be a nice walk. Besides all he lilacs they have pansy beds that are very pretty. There is also entertainment to enjoy. While the festival is great, it can... More

Such a wonderful place to go of those who like lilacs! So many different cultivars, and quite a heady scent at their peak. Though if you don't particularly like crowds, skip the lilac festival.

We usually go after the Lilac Festival, when everything is still in bloom, but it is not so crowded. We usually visit Lamberton Conservatory in the winter as well over school break! I take pictures every time, and I am never disappointed. Great place to hike or just to relax and breathe. God's nature at its peak!

My favorite time is magnolia season through lilacs and then azaleas. I avoid the LIlac Festival and prefer to start at the pinetum above the lilacs and sniff my way down the hill through all the various single, double, and triple lilacs. If you are strong, it is a delight for a person in a wheelchair. In fall there are... More

Highland Park is a magnificent place to walk alone or with friends and family. I walk here at least once a month and when the weather is good, I walk here every week. The groundskeepers do an extraordinary job maintaining the trees and plantings. My favorites are the lilacs, the magnolias, the tulip trees, the buckeyes, and the azaleas!

Attend the annual Lilac Festival. Great entertainment and lots of great food. It is a tradition for my family and I to attend the festival on a yearly basis.

Designed by the great Frederick Law Olmsted. Highland Park is a wonderful asset to our community. Lilacs are the main draw at Highland Park and rightly so. Hundreds of them in every color. In season (generally early -mid May), it is breathtaking. But the park offers so much more. From Lamberton Conservatory to the rhododendrons to the Highland Bowl &... More

Highland Park is a great Park to go with family and friends. It is a beautiful place for a long walk. It is well taken cared of, clean, with beautiful plants. It is located close to many other points of interest with several food places for a nice lunch.

I love hiking at Highland Park, especially in the spring when the trees are in bloom. The paths are very well maintained and there are lots of picture opportunities.
