Highland Park is a magnificent place to walk alone or with friends and family. I walk here at least once a month and when the weather is good, I walk here every week. The groundskeepers do an extraordinary job maintaining the trees and plantings. My favorites are the lilacs, the magnolias, the tulip trees, the buckeyes, and the azaleas!

Attend the annual Lilac Festival. Great entertainment and lots of great food. It is a tradition for my family and I to attend the festival on a yearly basis.

Designed by the great Frederick Law Olmsted. Highland Park is a wonderful asset to our community. Lilacs are the main draw at Highland Park and rightly so. Hundreds of them in every color. In season (generally early -mid May), it is breathtaking. But the park offers so much more. From Lamberton Conservatory to the rhododendrons to the Highland Bowl &... More

Highland Park is a great Park to go with family and friends. It is a beautiful place for a long walk. It is well taken cared of, clean, with beautiful plants. It is located close to many other points of interest with several food places for a nice lunch.

I love hiking at Highland Park, especially in the spring when the trees are in bloom. The paths are very well maintained and there are lots of picture opportunities.

To be one with nature is a rare thing, if you can find the place to find that, your in luck. I have in the Highland park area. An oasis of plants and flowers, a place to escape and find tranquility. Take a friend or go alone either way, you won't go wrong.

Highland Park is a fairly large urban park around a reservoir used for city drinking water. As such you can walk all around the "lake" and on the hillsides. The entire park is planted with lilac trees and many other trees not native to western New York. In the Spring, early May, the lilacs are in bloom and a sight,... More

A lovely park but moreso in the spring with the flowering trees. Pleasant park to stroll and relax. The lilac fest takes place here amidst the fragrant lilac blossoms.
