Is good for relaxing moment such as walking, picnic, etc. Not the type of park where you find children entertainment such as playground. Good land mark forphoto shoots! Check it out!

Love it! So beautiful during the Lilac Festival. Great places to walk and go funning, and sledding in winter.

We caught the tail end of the lilac festival. Lilac's weren't as fragrant or in bloom but the gardens are still beautiful. I don't understand why part of the park was roped off and charging admission. That was unnecessary ... most people turned around and...More

This is the heart of the eastern forest. So many majestic trees, so many flowered paths. Many of the trees were identified with plaques. We were bird-watching and found many. Come here to leave your cares behind for awhile.

The park is very beautiful with all the different trees and bushes and whatnot. Most of them are labeled, which was very helpful since I'm not a big tree person. The paths were easy to access and walk through.

We skipped the convenient but lengthy MCC shuttle this year and parked off Goodman and entered the Lilac festival up the hill. We LOVED how they moved the craft tents up there vs at the crowded festival site. We felt safe, loved the music and...More

Having lived in Rochester years ago, we planned this trip to be there during the Lilac Festival. Highland Park is nice during any good weather time, but it is a fantastic place to see when the lilacs are in bloom, as they were this visit....More

Attended the 2017 Lilac Festival and the Lilacs really out-did themselves this year <grin>. This is a fabulously gorgeous park. Great place to walk, paved paths are handicapped and stroller friendly. The Conservatory is also special although I didn't have time to visit this trip.

I've only been able to go to this park, but I know that every time I go to Rochester I will make a stop here. Every season it seems there is another group of flowers and trees blooming. It has a delightful paved walkway (maybe...More

The lilacs at Highland Park are amazing! The beauty and fragrance surround you at every turn. But be prepared to walk up and down paved hills.

As with others, I'm sorry I did not see this question before your visit. I hope you had a wonderful time, and that you saw the lilacs (which sometimes get forgotten among the razzmatazz of the part of the festival that is... More

I second what both of the prior respondents said. The Lamberton Conservatory will be open for a very small fee (less than $5.00. - I think it is $2 or $3. In there you can walk through a number of different climate sections... More

I will be coming to the Lilac Festival tomorrow with a group of 11 people, two are in wheelchairs. We will be arriving about 11:00. We will probably be in 3 or 4 cars. Where do you recommend we park - we are coming from the south into Rochester, probably Rte. 15A.

Go to the Lilac Festival website. Google will get you there. On it there is a section for handicap parking. There is also a shuttle service that is free if that works better for you. Everything else about the festival is... More
