The lilac festival is a great time to visit highland park. The landscaping is beautiful and the trails are well paved. It is a lot of hill to climb up and around though.

Aptly describes the beautiful setting created by F L Olmstead. Trees from every nation through the trails to beautify each season. My favorite Magnolias and Chestnuts in the Spring with tulips, pansies, azaleas, rhodedendrum along side. Beat the crowd and commercial hoopla to see the lilacs, so many varieties. And in the midst Lamberton Consevatory. For beauty and peace look... More

The entire park and reservoir are beautiful and spacious. But, if you can...try to visit around the lilac blossoming time. There are hundreds of lilac bushes that permeate the air with their sweet smell. A wonderful walk through the park. There is the Lilac Festival- but I don't care for the crowds and vendors. I just enjoy the peaceful walk... More

We always come before the festival starts to avoid the crowds and to get an early view of the flowers, it truly is a magical time of the year when Spring... More

I love this park! Walk the easy paths or sit in the grass. Spring: magnolias and lilac. Lilac festival. Summer: shade trees to sit under and grass to run in. Autumn: changing colors of the trees Winter sledding. Nice playground. The conservatory is a great place any time of year but especially on a cold winter day. Enjoy plants, turtles,... More

We loved exploring here on a beautiful August day. Enjoyed walking through the grounds and visiting inside as well. Learned a lot in the process. This is a spot to enjoy in every season of the year for an entirely different experience.

Highland park offers a very beautiful walk that is very accessible. It's not strenuous, but a peaceful walk through a beautiful Rochester area.
