I brought my youngest granddaughter here on a rainy baby sitting day. Friendly staff, free parking with admission and reasonable price. We spent several hours as she enjoyed the many hands on exhibits. Clean facilities and beautiful river views. Nearby to Highline over the Hudson.

Took the grandkids there in the spring and they had a good time. Some areas are only open for school groups but kids can learn and keep themselves busy. Not the biggest one around but the kids had fun ad that is what matters,

There are no places to eat next to the Museum but blocks away at the train station there are several places.

Yes, I agree with John P. The scientific experiments are definitely worth it, even for an adult.
