Absolutely worth the stop. We booked in at the Hotel Falaise which is right in the center of the town. The views are spectacular. You could probably hike up both sides in a day, but we split it up over two days to take in...More

We basically drove one hour just for the view and it was worth it. I took some really nice pictures. We want there in April and be prepared for some strong and cold winds. Not sure if it gets better in summertime.

We arrived at Etretat at about 11 a.m. on a lovely sunny day in May 2017. Etretat is a lovely seaside town extremely popular for day visits. The town is renowned for its white cliffs and three natural rock arches, including a rock structure across...More

We were recommended to come to beautiful Etretat by our b&b and we were not disappointed. You approach the beach via the lovely little town with its pretty timbered buildings. Then standing on the little promenade overlooking the beach see the wonderful towering cliffs, the...More

Etretat is a small seaside town with a shingle beach situated between stunning coastal cliffs. The scenery is spectacular. You can enjoy it from the beachfront in the town, or go on one of the walks along the clifftop.

This is a must stop in visiting Normandy. We came from Giverny through a beautiful way, full of nice villages and green hills and mountains. We didn't plan well enough to allow at least 5-6 hours for Etretat. The clifs are remarkable.

Just incredible. A must see. This is hands down one of the most beautiful places on earth and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The hike to the top is not too bad. I carried a toddler on my shoulders the whole way and...More

Beautiful, with the wind and the smell of the sea, this is a really nice day trip for anyone needing to see a bit of nature and coming from Paris or Rouen. There are quite a few tourists though, so go somewhere else if that's...More

We were on a cruise and due to bad weather ened up with 2 days in Le Havre. We caught a cab (randomly at the cruise terminal) over to Etretat. The driver was great. What a great little town -- but crowded. The cliffs are...More

Hi there, Myself, my wife and daughter are planning 4-5 round tour from Paris and back in Normandy and Britany by the end of May 2017. I wonder where to stay, shall I make a reservation in one place and then make a star trip and every day return back? What would be the best place to go for daily trips and back? Any specific tips for the trip, special places to visit? Thanks so much, Eli

The view is free. If you drive up to view it from the church overlook, parking is free. If you view it from the beach, there is free visitor's parking at the beach as well.

Hello Melissa, No need to book for a tour or anything, just find a way to be there and that's it. It's a very small village/city/ suburb (don't know exactly what to call it. other than the Falaises, it's only couple of... More
