    Interesting history
To be honest it was the most interesting activity during all we have made at Sal island. Still nothing so spectacular but because of history of this place something you can try. 5 eur for entrance, 1 eur for 30 seconds shower, changing room and toilet for free.

    Floating fun
Visited as part of the postcards of Sal TUI trip, an interesting drive up to it and our guide told us the history of the place. A walk through the rock and down a steep slope we were able to get in, as soon as you were in you could feel the water holding you up, it wasn't cold but refreshing on a hot day. We bobbed for about 20ish mins before getting out, which was funny as standing up was a bit tricky, showers were available at a cost but we let the salt dry on us, when we did eventually shower later our skin felt amazing really soft. Would recommend and was a highlight of the tour.

    Well worth a visit
Brilliant experience though it’s a bit of a walk to the lake. Having said that, a random driver took the less mobile, in our group, to the cafe near the bottom. We left the salt on our skin until we got back to the hotel. There’s a shower at the lake that costs €1. It does your skin wonders.

    Salty!
Salt farms and lakes, set in the crater of an extinct volcano. Park at the top and walk down through a hand-carved tunnel. Long steep walk, possibility you can drive there if you have mobility issues. €5 entry per person. Showers available, €1 for a short blast to get the water off. Very warm water in the pools, which was nice, not as salty as the Dead Sea, but just as floaty. A very interesting experience.

    Great Experience
Visited as part of a tour. Water very refreshing. Changing facilities at base. Not overcrowded at all. December is a great time to visit. The old remains of the salt transportation system is still in place. If you are in Cape Vede I would defo make the trip

    Cool experience
Floating in the water is so wonderfully bizarre! Great experience! One point minus because when we finished, some large groups arrived so I could imagine that the fun would be much less when the timing would be bad. So be there early.

    Floating around in a volcano
The entire complex is located inside a huge volcano crater. This was previously used to mine and export salt. After commercial salt mining ended on the island, the tourism potential was discovered. Today you can swim in a lake with an extremely high salt content and let yourself drift like in the Dead Sea. Entry costs six euros. Changing rooms, showers, toilets and a coffee shop are available.

An interesting walk through a dark tunnel into the open and then a lovely cold dip into the extremely salty water. You float like a cork in the sea and if you are adventurous it gets warmer as you go our further. A lovely visit and it's good for your skin too.
