It's a beautiful place to hike. We loved visiting in Autumn and look forward to visiting in other seasons as well. You should be careful if you have small children and if you're not really steady on your feet if you do the hike.

We did not plan this part of the trip but decided to take a ride before heading home and this was an experience I will surely never forget. Worth the short drive from the falls.

history is really neat- read up on it before you go. here is a clue: it is legend that the hole is a portal to the spirit world. a former president and indian chief had a chance meeting there.....

Devils Hole is a vortex or river whirlpool. Not a lot to see here, some construction obstruction. Best part is watching the river jet boats shooting through.

Nice short stop, 30 minutes, short paved interpretive trail offering signs explaining the formation of the area. Easy walking.

Stunning views of the river as it rages into a whirlpool. Saw 2 red tailed Hawks flying below our lookout point. Great photo op. The tram car was crossing the river when we visited.

Hi Amy, it's free...The gorge and devils hole is a hiking trail. It's a "park".
