This is truly an amazing place. The Center is a 500 acre parcel near the Hudson River in New Windsor NY that is devoted to large sculptures by known artists. The sculptures are laid out is various spots throughout the property. The rolling green hills...More

Wonderful afternoon of walking and looking at post-1960 sculpture. It's a huge place so bring comfy shoes, water and something to snack on. My only 'complaint' is that there's not as much art as I thought there'd be. but still worth a trip.

Driven by countless times. This time we toured the grounds. Great experience for all. Took the 35 minute bus ride of the entire site then got out and walked some more. Great for all ages.

I loved the grounds and the enormous sculptures. I am sure it is amazing in great weather, but when we went it was a grey and misty day which I think added to the mystery of walking around and truly experiencing the artwork. I highly...More

I was very disappointed, mainly because of the lack of signage and the difficulty of finding any given sculpture. There is a map with a number for each sculpture, and next to it a list of the sculptures and the artist for each, by number....More

Storm King is a one-of-a-kind place for an "art experience". Remember to wear comfortable but sturdy shoes for walking/hiking trails, suntan lotion and a hat, and binoculars for the vistas that contribute to the beautiful sculptures. Also a picnic lunch for a visit that can...More
