You do have to pay to go here but the views are well worth it. You can also climb the lighthouse. Has nice museum attached.

we took a walk on the trails at camp hero and saw the old radar tower from the war and the beautiful sights along the cliffs. sshould not be missed.

It surely gets busy out here, so if you want it to be a day trip, from NYC, go as the trees start to turn yellow in the Fall or before Memorial Day before Summer. Not everything will be open, but you will definitely find...More

Montauk Point is at the end of Lonbg Island and it is beautiful in ints entirety with historical features, the lighthouse, and the ocean. We love to go and just walk the beach, climb the rocks and soak up the sun and views...

Beautiful Grounds! Nice Museum inside with the history of the lighthouse and the east end. Be sure to climb the lighthouse steps, great views from the top!

Beautiful views, fun little trails to the beach. The lighthouse tour of the tower took a lot of time to turn around each group allowed up.

Went there in the rain during a small gale but found lighthouse very historic. Climb to the top may be tough for seniors but my daughter and I went to the top. Spiral stairs with a rope to hold on(not bad). Waves were spectacular. Wish...More

About the parking fee: You can use the same parking pass for Hither Hills State Park Beach and other places as well.

I think you would be very unlikely to see seals now. The state parks have stopped offering seal watching tours for the year, which is a good indication that there really are no more seals to be seen this year. You are most... More
