About 110 miles out along 118-mile Long Island, a huge sandy remnant of the last (Wisconsin) ice age is this never very busy park and beach for the not-so-wealthy east enders. It is peaceful with dunes that change shape regularly as the wind varies in...More

I am not a camper, but love to camp here. The park is right on the ocean and every night you can hear waves crushing almost right at your tent. Love my morning long walks on the beach!

No dogs allowed. That stinks. Montauk was always a dog friendly place and this park has way too many rules. Campers right on top of one another just like every where else.

Reservation was difficult to get. We rented a camper for the week. There are no electric or water hookups, so we had to be conservative. There is water on site. They allow the use of a generator for several hours in the morning and several...More

There are a few trails to hike here as well as a camping section (that we haven't visited). The trails are well maintained and marked well. The moving dunes are beautiful. The view from the top is amazing!
