Been coming to this campground for 20+ years. For us, the location cant be beat. They leave you alone pretty much and the staff is friendly but, most of all, the lake has always proven to be a little oasis in the midst of the...More

We camped off season, second to last weekend open in October. At this time of the year you need to reserve early because only half the campground is open. By the time I reserved a site there were only a few water sites left. We...More

A hidden gem in the adirondacks. Clean, clear water with great shallow access for kids. Maintained bathrooms throughout the campground. Plenty of water access to the lake. Highly recommend for family camping.

Lakefront views from every site, wooden platforms for tents, built-in grills over most campfire pits, swimming off the docks.

Your basic public campground. Sites are a little closer together than I like and there isn't a lot of brush and trees to separate them, so not a lot of privacy. The lake location is a plus.

Beautiful location just outside of long lake. Lots of bathrooms located all around the campground and one central bathhouse that could use some upgrades. Some camping spots get awesome cell service while others not at all, just depends how close you are to the lake...More

This is my first trip to this campground. Also to the magnificent Adirondack mountains. Not all the campsite are equal in terms of space, so bear in mind you can be in one better than other, usually next to the lake are the most wanted,...More

I moved out of state a number of years ago and only recently returned to Lake Eaton with my wife to spend a night there. The showers were very clean, the campsite is in a pretty good state of repair and the staff was friendly....More

I've camped there every year, just about, for the last 18 years. I've watched the road deteriorate. I've watched the swings fall apart. (Only 3 of 4 in place this year.) I saw a volleyball post fall over. It got replaced but it's not wide...More

Google search Lake Eaton campsite photos. There is a good site, camp ADK . Com . You can look at campsite photos. Also read Dave's tips. Very informative.
