A six and a half mile (RT) hike to a mountaintop with a fire tower. 360 views of the Adirondacks - but the last bit of the trail is more mountain climbing than hiking.

This is an enjoyable hike up to the fire tower and would be easy for kids to compete without a lot of complaining. Really nice views and photo ops.

This is well worth the trip. Fire Tower on the top of the mountain. Easy to find trailhead off of Endion Road in Long Lake, NY. Its the Adirondacks, it's rugged and woodsy so be prepared with snacks, hiking boots, layers oh and bug spray....More

Nice trail for the most part, could have been better marked in spots and recent rains made in a bit muddy, but beautiful views at the summit!
