This is a very nice nature area, but Lockport has more hidden gems. I suggest, if your time is limited, visit Gulf Wilderness then visit here.

Lovely country setting for a hike in the woods. You can bring pets on a leash. Easy to find off Rt 78. Must see the little waterfall off one of the trails.

This is a beautiful forest with well marked trails. There are various length trails, though none are strenuous. This is a good hike for kids. One of the trails has a creek with a small picturesque waterfall.

This is a wonderful, somewhat unknown local trail. A beautiful place to take your dog for a walk. The trails are not too rough and mostly flat. 1/2 through there is a stream with a waterfall which is worth seeing.

A very nice park in the town. There are many trails covering woods open areas, hills and streams. A nice place to spend a couple hours in the outdoors.
