About
Sonoma Falls is a beautiful outdoor destination spot in Upstate New York. Enjoy miles of hiking trails, 7 tiers of waterfalls, and fish the stock ponds. We also have a bakery/cafe that serves breakfast and lunch all day. Dine inside or take it outside for a picnic.

Don’t waste your time.

Don’t waste your time. It’s been closed for 5 years per the county workers. The sign is torn up, broken and the gate is chained closed.

Don’t waste your time. There’s a huge detour to find the place and the sign has been busted for what seems like a long time. As beautiful as it might be, there’s a huge gate and no trespassing sign.

We were really looking forward to this hike and waterfall but I can’t say what it looks like sadly as there is a closed gate and “Posted” signs. It appears there is typically a fee of $10 / $5 and there may be a market and cider mill. However we only got to see the gate and there was no info explaining whether they plan to reopen. :(

We made the best of it by viewing the river from the edge a few moments and from a bridge. If you wish to see Sonoma Falls I would recommend asking locals if it has reopened first!

This is a beautiful spot in a lovely town. I do believe they are closed for renovations.

The area is abolutely gorgeous with a great little town on Main Street with amazing shops. There is a gourmet wood burning pizzeria, a gourmet Main Street Farms with sandwiches and a lovely boutique called Moxie Alley with essential oils and fineries.

If you are into scenery, this is the place for you to visit. We had a cloudy, misty day and they were still beautiful.

Beautiful Falls

This was a very nice falls but not a large drop. We drive and take pictures of any falls near our destination. I would not go too far out of the way to see these falls though.

Sonoma Falls was closed!
Aug 2015 • Couples
We were looking to do some sightseeing while in the area and saw some advertising for this attraction. It is a little difficult to find and requires driving over an old scary wooden bridge to get to the front gate. Unfortunately, it was closed (during business hours) with no explaination. I am not sure if it is permanently closed, so I would advise you to call before.
