We tried this beach when we were staying in Podgora. The place is nice and the sea was slightly dirty for a while but cleared up after an hour or so and then it was lovely and clear. The only downside is that it is a pebbly beach (as all other beaches we visited in Croatia) and shoes are recommended.

Take reef shoes, they will be a godsend on the pebbles. Clean beach but very popular so get there early for the good spots. Beds available to hire for 30kn per day. Facilities and restaurants close by. You will have to pay for parking which is 100kn a day.

We have been to Punta Rata beach in late August and as expected it was crowded. However, water was crystal clear and we really enjoyed it! Parking is expensive (as much as 100Kn) if you want to get close to the beach (good idea if you are with kids).

This is one of the most beutiful beaches I have ever been to that I visit frequently. It has crystal clean water, showers, bar and restaurant conveniently nearby with modest prices. Those complaining about prices have not traveled much for their vote to be taken seriously. Beach has great infrastructure and combined with it natural beuty it is no wonder... More

Beautiful view, crystal clear but cold water. A bit windy at the time of my visit. You can take advantage of the trees around to escape form the sun's heat.

It was voted by Forbes Magazin as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world - which I found to be true in every aspect. If you plan to come I suggest booking a place at the end of august (less tourists, warmer water) and some shoes for going swimming in a rocky environment.
