Lakshmangarh fort is nicely build and well managed, and presently owned by private people. It is situated just near by Rajasthan Roadways bus stand at Main town of Lakshmangarh.
Lakshmangarh is onroute from Jaipur to Bikaner, 25 KMS away from Sikar and 148 kms from Jaipur. There are lot of Government buses available from Jaipur to Lakshmangarh, bus route is good and can be reached within 3 hours from Jaipur. Where as if you have a plan to visit near by places also, you can visit Nawalgarh, Salasar Balaji Mandir also..

The Fort is a ruined one but the guards at the top said the care-taker or the owner is converting it to a Heritage Hotel. The Fort has a small temple in it and people come from all over India to worship their ancestral town's temple and seek blessings. The town is located 150 kms from Jaipur and is 3 hours drive. The view from the top is excellent and one can see the famous Girl's Residential Campus of Modi Institution far away.

The most imposing building in this Laxmangarh town is its small fortress which looms over the well laid out township on its west side. "Maharaja Rao Raja Laxman SinghJi Shekhawat", ("The Rao Raja of Sikar"), built the fort in the early 19th century after Kan Singh Saledhi besieged the prosperous town. The fort of Laxmangarh is a unique piece of fort architecture in the whole world because the structure is built upon scattered pieces of huge rocks. 5km from laxmangarh town there is a village called Hamirpura which was found in early 19th century by "Rao Raja Hamir SinghJi Shekhawat" son of "Rao Raja Laxman SinghJi Shekhawat"(Rao Raja of Sikar)

we drove 30 km to see this fort as Google was showing it in nearby attraction. However nowhere it was mentioned that it is a private property and not open at all.
From far it looks pretty well maintained small fortress on a hill top. We went till the temple till where it is allowed to walk. Please do not visit until unless you are a guest of owner.

Seriously has anyone visited it, we were told vehicle can go but we found that maybe if we had a 4/4 vehicle we would have made a attempt though it was a short drive. I
It was too slippery to risk a walk and were informed you cannot enter the fort premises by everyone who had shops near the driveway. What a waste of time to go and not visit looks good from outside on a rock but then just take a photo and go.
Asked around nothing else to do. So fatehpur and laxmangarh in shekhawati region a big no.

The fort is one of its kind in Shekhawati region. It's architecture makes it unique, having being constructed on rocky pieces of mountain..Although the fort is now a private property , but a temple over there is open to public. The fort gives a beautiful view of Laxmangarh town, more famous for Mody University.

This unique small fortress is built on scattered pieces of massive rocks. The fort is now private property. Only the climb up the ramp to a temple is open to public. From the temple one gets a view of the town.
