It's a nice place with good customer service a water slide going up to river Nile. They charge 20000shs for a slide and the dressing room at the slide is very dirty with human wastes. The toilets are so bad not flashed very smelly and going to wash your feet without shoes in them is a nightmare.

This is the real highlight of Jinja. I strongly recommend the boat trip. There is no falls due to construction of a dam. The boat area is private land and the entrance fees is UGS10,000 ($US2.50) per person. The 2 hours motorized boat is UGS 120,000 ($US 35) for entire boat and is worth it. The boat can accommodate 10 persons. The ride is very relaxing and we saw lots of birds and a specific lizard that swims in the water. The scenery is magnificent. Very enjoyable two hour boat ride.

Bujagali Falls used to be a very popular site to see raids and waterfalls on the Nile. Unfortunately a dam constructed down stream has raised the level of the water to cover the falls. However there is an option to take boar tour for about 2 hours to travel a few Km up the river to the base of the Owens falls Dam where there are still some rapids. The trip was excellent and the guide Ronald ( tel 0704 976 595) extremely knowledgeable. We saw many types of waterbirds, Otters, 2 species of monkey, monitor lizards etc; visited a cave with salt deposits and offerings from the local community. Well recommended. The cost was only 100,000 including the guide. The boat was large enough for 10+ people

I was expecting to see amazing falls but it was more like a rushing lake. I'm used to Niagara Falls, so this was not up to my expectations. I heard that the building of a dam a few years ago is what ruined the falls, too bad!

Really spectacular .. such a shame they are being raided by the government .. the adventure sports coupled with cultural significance of Bujagali makes these falls a gem in the desert

While growing up, we used to visit this place but ever since the government started the project of building the dam, it is no more. Basing on my young childhood and high school memories. Every person who had never visited, i would recommend for them to visit. But currently there are other alternatives nearby which are not as spectacular as the original Bujagali dam. We miss it soo much.

Since the new dam was built a few years ago these Falls are nowhere near as spectacular as they were. A two hour drive from Jinja on a very dusty murram road are the Ntinda Falls, much fiercer and a beautiful place too.

What a terrible experience. I was tricked into entering this place and they still go around marketing it as a falls 10 years after it was lost to the naming down river!
The gate keeper nor the owners of this land area will not tell you that there are no rapids/cataracts/falls here.
once inside, there are people who are trying to get you pn a boat to go and watch other people having fun!
What a total and utter disappointment!
