We really enjoyed the morning/ afternoon up there. It is quite a distance from the road BUT well worth it.
The staff are brilliant anf friendly, the zip lining is great in the trees and you do feel yourself get higher. The initial climb up to the zip line platforn is a nice little cardio to get the heart pumping. My mum was terrified doing the first one and that didnt seem to go away as she competed the course. She throughly enjoyed every terrified minute of it though and would love to it again.

I also wanted a walk through the forest as i am interested in the vegetation and medicinal properties of plants. We tried to catch the monkey's but you have to get there eary and we were delayed by over an hr (totally my fault) It was sad to see the little waterfall full of pollution however it's good we are shown the effects of mass production and the impact on the environment. I enjoyed the trip and would go back again to try catch the monkey's. Kato is an excellent guide.

A water falls in the middle of the forest, its an incredible experience, nature walk and the amazing zip line are just memorable, if you have phobia for heights do not go zip lining.
Its also very ideal for camping.

trekking the gray manga-bey has so far been one of the very interesting moments for me, as some one who has grown from here in Uganda and seeing majorly one type of monkey, this particular I had not seen before and finding it was fun.

I had the best time zip lining here. It was very reasonable for 6 zips. Climbing the tree was the most challenging part that gave me some palpitations but it really is easy. The zips are not really long but they are really fun. it breaks up the drive.

this place is hidden in the middle of the mabira forest but its worth hnting for it because the falls are nice to view and you also take a walk in the forest.

Went for a day out of kampala, basis facility, Entry fees UGX 10,000 for locals, UGX 30,000 for non-locals, walk in the forest with guide is 10,000 per person, one of the places where zip lining is provided which covers around seven trees. heard stories of not being safe, accommodation is very basis, Griffin falls is polluted with the molasses discharge from the lugazi sugar factory owned by the mehtas

Uganda's one and only ziplining place, high up in the trees, so not free of danger but the briefing is thorough. Avoid it when it rains or has rained as platforms tend to become slippery until dried up again. Great added adventure activity enroute to Jinja with a branch off in Lugazi.

Stayed at Griffin falls camp. Basic accommodation but over priced. 10000 UGX for a basic room. They charge 30000 UGX for a 2 hr forest walk which I should say is a rip off. You see nothing except for fire ants, fungi and a couple of red tailed monkeys. Was really dissapointed when they asked for 10000 UGX just for watching others do the zip lining when they had already charged 30000 for the forest walk. Food was very basic and bland. Breakfast was really overpriced. Beer is cheap, 3500/bottle. They have phone charging points in the rooms but switched off the whole night. Peter the guide was professional, friendly and an experienced guide. If you are here for zip lining, do it in a day, don't pay for the forest walk, it's worthless and return to where you came from the same day.
