While visiting the Adirondacks and Lake Placid be sure to include horseback riding for one of your most memorable of your vacation activities. Family run, we offer the gentlest horses in the area and unlike most stables we keep them through retirement. We also run a Horse Rescue, and most of our horses came from auctions and other, unfortunate circumstances. Rides are approximately 45-50 minutes with an additional instructional lesson prior to the ride to help you familiarize yourself with how the horses have been trained and answer any questions you may have. Longer rides available for year 2012. SEI certified helmets provided. Children and Family friendly. We are an easy drive from Saranac Lake, Keene, Wilmington, Plattsburgh, and Essex areas. Walking distance from Main Street in Lake Placid.

The actual trail ride was fun (2 hr private), and our guides, Zach and Amanda were excellent. The problem lies with the management. We finally found the place, which was difficult since there is no cell service in that area, and no signs off the main roads to even give you a hint. The gate was locked, and can't call... More

The actual horse ride was just about okay but the horses would constantly try to eat along the way . When we for there , nobody was there to meet us and we had to wait 20 mins for someone to show up . The place itself needs a good clean . The guide was very friendly though . However... More

We try to include a trail ride on all of our family vacations, and I think this was the best of all the ones we have done so far. We splurged on the 1/2 day trail ride with lunch, and I am glad we did. Our guide Sean (Shawn?) was very patient with us, gave us horses that suited our... More

I reserved for a 2h private ride at 4pm on a saturday. I was driving down from Canada just for this. I got there at 3:55pm and the gate was closed. I opened the gate and made my way in. There was no one there to greet me. I walked to every building there, there was no one (Except horses).... More

I would recommend this attraction to everyone. Natalia is great at sizing up your ability with horses. I, for one, am a complete rookie and was a bit apprehensive. She calmed my nerves. My group consisted of all beginners but we all felt comfortable and confident with her abilities and obvious experience with horses. The trails were really nice thru... More

This was an excellent experience. Sean/Shawn was fantastic with the kids. His friendliness and patience, coupled with his experience made us feel welcome and comfortable. The horses were happy and healthy here, which is always important. I love that this ranch rescues animals in need of homes! When making a reservation, I would caution you to call at least a... More

Had the opportunity to visit with my eight year old daughter (who does have about three years experience of weekly riding). There was a minor problem in that the trail guide was running late - though the Center tried to let us know via a call to our cell phone, reception in the Adirondacks for AT&T is spotty and we... My girlfriend booked us the half day ride with lunch for our time off. I had never been on a horse before this ride and was quite nervous going into it. We arrived shortly before 9am and were let into the gates promptly at 9. After parking we were led into a barn to sign the necessary paperwork and watch... More

I love the fact most of the horses are rescues. The trail guide was super nice and very informational! I certainly learned from the hour ride. It's good knowing there are good hearted people who are down to earth about these types of things. I would love to come back when it's sunny and warm!
