Loved the information and displays of what things were available and looked like. It was not for the tender hearted to live in those times. Also loved the gift shop

We visit every 3 years or so. great guided tour and the kids get to participate in the history. Also gives you a great view of the lake.

I think the fort is simply not that interesting. The displays are not diverse at all. Displaying more than a dozen cannon balls and fragments, for example, does not make up for lack of other things. You get to see the firing of a musketand...More

Fort William Henry sits high on a bluff with fantastic views overlooking lake George. Originally built by the English in 1755 as an outpost to counter the French, the fort was destroyed by the French and lay abandoned until it's reconstruction in 1954. The visit...More

Paul Stillman was insanely informative and entertaining, I'm still skeptical of the whole ghost thing but there were lots of other really interesting facts, he really got into the history. Great fun for kids and adult kids like myself. Paul is the best!

It is a small but important, rebuilt fort. A nice tour. Also went through museum, very nice. Very informed staff. Not one unanswered question. A large souvenir shop.

Finding the entrance with no signage was the scariest part of the tour. The guide tried to entertain our group with some past happenings that had been reported to her but that she had never witnessed. Since the fort burned and has been faithfully restored,...More

Staff at the Fort was friendly and very knowledgeable. The original fort was burned to the ground by the French, but the current restoration which was done many years ago appears true to the original.

First a video is shown, then the demonstration. If you walk around the fort, it may take a little over an hour.

Not sure where the park is. But it's in front of the ferries and boat launch down the road from a major beach area for lake George. In very close to the center of town
