Driving up Prospect Mountain is breathtaking!! There are different spots to stop at and look at the sites below which on a clear day are just amazing. Strongly encourage going all the way to the top in the little trolley.

We stopped on a whim. Best decision. There are a few stops along the route, but the jack pot view is at the top. A mini bus is provided for the final trip to the summit. It shows a video of the once stood Motel/cable...More

This trail to the top of Mount Prospect is clearly marked on the trees. The trail is difficult and not recommended for small children. This trail is also not recommended for your first ever mountain climb. We hiked after a rainstorm and the rocks were...More

easy side trip when staying in Lake George. our family rent the 3 wheel scooters with the kids and went up! it was so FUN! in the scooter vs a car you can head to the top.

Drove up to the top, hiked to the very top. Even beautiful when the weather is not cooperating. Will make it a tradition on every trip!

This was a nice relaxing drive. Plenty of turn off areas for sightseeing with great views of the lake. The only thing that would make it better would be a guide to point things out and share history.

Carload only costs 10 dollars. Great views from the 3 view points to the area where you park your car and take a tram to the top of the mountain. A can't miss affordable thing to do.

Great views of entire region .... lakes, mountains and marinas in the area. Unfortunately for me, it started raining right after I paid $10 (per vehicle) to get in. It was still worth it and I'd do it again! Breath-taking views......

It's close in winter season. I think it's start open in MAY until October or November. But the trail is open any time .
