Wonderful climb with my daughter. Leaves still on a lot of trees made for great views. My daughter was disappointed when we got to the summit and she saw all the cars as the 46 peaks it is just you and nature. Leaves on rocks can be slippery so be careful. Crossing the Northway on the bridge is surreal. Walking... More

Good spot to hike or drive to for a nice view of Lake George. There is a parking lot close to the top, allowing one to hike up the rest of the way.

Drove up part of the mountain then a trolley brings you the rest other the way. The view is beautiful.....great place for hikers & photographers. The Adirondacks at their finest!

We have gone up Prospect Mtn. Highway twice and it is a 'must see' attraction. For SENIORS , Weekdays (excluding holidays) it is free to New York registered vehicles!

Prospect Mountain was an amazing place to go. There were many stops on the way to the top, that blew me away. The view on the top was stunning. There was a beautiful lake, The Vermont mountain far away. The mountains and trees gave such a spectacular vibe. This is such an amazing place to visit with friends and family.... More

For those who can't hike to a mtn summit, take the drive to the parking area. Then free bus ride to summit. Find the old railroad station, view the high peaks. Great in the fall

The views from the top are incredible! We took the red trail to the summit. It was a challenging hike, but we were able to reach the summit in about an hour. I would recommend this trail for any hiker who visits Lake George.

We drive the auto road last weekend on whim as we were heading out of town. It was free for Veterans Day and we got to talk to some WWII vets on the way up. We had done this drive a few years ago but I think I forgot how beautiful it is. There was still just enough color in... More
